Ableism and Impact on Access to Care for Children with Medical Complexity or Disabilities: This interactive session will focus on intentional inclusion with attention to diversity among individuals with disabilities. Participants will learn and reflect upon biases that impact all levels of care for children with medical complexity or disabilities and their families. Participants will learn about opportunities for inclusion at all levels from design to implementation in clinical care, education and research and how to advocate for inclusion in community and educational settings and when collaborating with decision makers.
