The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) reports that half the world's 2.2 billion children are at “extremely high risk” from the impacts of climate change. The UNICEF Director states that while no child is responsible for rising global temperatures, they pay the highest costs. The children from countries least responsible will suffer most of all. This panel of experts will outline the inequitable impact of global climate change on children and adolescents throughout the world, and outline best evidence and research priorities to protect children from the impacts of the global climate crisis while working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
