Elevate Your Simulation
Simulation training offers a risk-free environment for novice and seasoned clinicians to achieve and maintain competency. Due to duty hour restrictions and decreasing procedural exposure, simulation is quickly becoming a vital component of pediatric training. Designing simulation curriculums to maximize the level of realism (fidelity) of the scenario can be a daunting task for educators, especially those working in lower resource settings.
In this interactive workshop, facilitators will describe and demonstrate techniques for utilizing tools and techniques to increase fidelity and engagement in simulation whether in a high or low resource setting. Facilitators will demonstrate novel approaches to simulating advanced procedures and clinical scenarios. Participants will then participate in a panel discussion with experts in the field to learn how to best study and publish their simulation work.
