Finding joy as a clinical educator is valuable in this healthcare environment that is increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA), especially during post-pandemic. To manage the personal and emotional challenges of uncertainty and change, it has been increasingly important to equip providers with adaptation skills in the VUCA world and practice the principles of deliberate optimism which would enable them to find joy in their educational activities. This helps not only to enhance teaching/mentoring skills but also to mitigate burn out.
