Inequality, racism, and health care disparities impact the well-being and outcomes for our patients and affect our practice. Goals for this session will include defining and understanding social determinants of health and racial and ethnic disparities and their impact on patient care and outcomes, recognizing limitations in diversity and the contributing factors in the current Pediatric Nephrology workforce and providing strategies for addressing racism in curricula and our clinical practice to cultivate supportive training and practice environments.
