Recent years have seen important new understandings in regards to the diagnosis and management of neonatal seizures. This year's Brain Club will address (i) advances in brain monitoring/neurophysiology, (ii) informing the future of neonatal seizures through basic science, (iii) seizures in special populations (e.g. preterm, ECMO), and (iv) what happens after the NICU- how long to treat & why baby seizures matter. Together, the presentations will also address the impact of seizures on the developing brain beyond the brain injury that incites them.
