Advocacy is an integral part of the daily life of the pediatrician; however, the evaluation of advocacy efforts is somewhat nebulous. Developing a more uniform approach for the reporting of community health and advocacy activities and the integration of the advocacy portfolio into the promotion package can assist the academic pediatrician to share their advocacy story. Attendees in this session will gain opportunities in understanding how to use a scholarly approach with their community health and advocacy activities. Also, they will discover how to implement the advocacy portfolio into their current CV, as well as integrating their advocacy story effectively into a personal statement. Finally, they will have the opportunity to network and collaborate to further their advocacy story.
