This combined Health Care Value and Newborn SIG session will highlight hot topics in neonatal medicine related to promotion of health care value. There have been important updates to the management and treatment guidelines of common conditions in neonates that incorporate value. National experts in topics of hyperbilirubinemia, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and early onset neonatal sepsis will speak individually and then will participate in an open panel discussion with attendees. Trainees across the country will also have the opportunity to present patient examples from their neonatal experiences that emphasize health care value.
