We propose the marrying of Critical Race Theory and Social Justice Medicine through this dynamic, interactive workshop. We will explore origins of Critical Race Theory and its role in medical education, clinical practice, and research. Our approach will use a historical, interdisciplinary, social justice lens to demonstrate how Critical Race Theory principles can apply to medicine to uproot health inequity, decolonize medical education, and dismantle race medicine and medical racism. We use a multi-sensory, hands-on, practice-based learning approach to allow participants to apply their knewly aquired knowledge to build their skills in real time.
