In this interactive session, the APA Well-being and Vitality Special Interest Group will share a status report on SIG activities to date including updates on research findings from a pre-COVID Academic Pediatric Association member well-being survey. We will then engage in an interactive discussion focused on organizational versus individual drivers of burnout with guest speakers Dr. Jan Serwint and Dr. Elaine Schulte. There will be opportunity to build community by discussing attendees’ reflections on experiences related to well-being and vitality. Finally, we will engage in a brainstorming session to further define the areas of focus for the SIG with the ultimate aim of furthering well-being of APA members. and supporting scholarship efforts in this arena. This section of the session will include guided breakout groups focused on the pillars of community building, research, and education.
