The Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI) is a national initiative based out of The Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Since 1996, the CAHMI has led and collaborated to keep the focus on children, youth, and families in policy, practice, and systems change to promote the early and lifelong health and well-being of children, youth, families, and communities. The mission of CAHMI is to promote early and lifelong health using family-centered data and tools that put children, youth and families at the center of health, health care and public health performance measurement and improvement. Our mission is met by building the capacity of our healthcare field and families through management of the Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DRC), development of the Early Childhood Cycle of Engagement (EC_COE) model and online tools, and contributing to the evidence base on the science of childhood flourishing and resilience.
